I think if it happens more than once, we need to address it. Ignoring it and "hoping" it goes away is the wrong attitude. This only encourages further non-sporting behavior not to mention causes a problem for the crew that has this team in their next game. I'm sure we've all tried to enforce a rule near the end of the season and been told that "why haven't we heard this before?"
I think the biggest thing is reminding the players that we are there. Just strike up a little dialog and then ask him to tone it down a little bit has worked well for me in the past. |
