Part II

Well I just returned from taking Part II. Very interesting exam, I think I did pretty good as I thought I wipped through the questions fairly good. I know I messed up on a few of the uniform questions.

Hopefully, worst case scenario I figure I missed 8. I suppose time will tell!

Hope you did well. Usually get the results in about 10 days - two weeks.

Yeah, I'm hoping since the testing site was somewhat close to Bloomington, that it will be one of the first packets they get. Maybe this will knock off a couple days. It's a waiting game now; I've done my part.

We took it on the 15th - fortunately they correct it on the spot so we don't have to wait. Yeah, there were some strange questions as usual, but overall it wasn't that bad - wound up with a 97. We use Part I as a study test, and maybe 20% or so of the questions on Part II came almost directly from Part I in one form or another.

I am sure you will have confirmation of your score on your web site before you get the mailing of the exam. That is the way it has been done for years. Give it by the middle of next week and I would not be surprised if you know what your score is by then.

Peace

We have about 40 officials taking the test. I am usually one of the last 5 done.

I was 2nd last night. I was also shocked that I got done so fast.

But I used a different plan.

I exercised before the test, then instead of sitting there for 20 minutes before the test, I stretched out for about 5 minutes before the test. I never sat down until the test was given to me.

I sat in the very front row facing the wall. I couldn't see what anyone else was doing. In the past I sat in the back or center and could see people turning pages and I wondered why I was so far behind and I always worried I wouldn't finish the test.

I think I scored in the 90's. I have 4 out of the last 5 years.

I am just so suprised that the MHSAA in Michigan DOES NOT test their officials (at least for basketball). We have to take an online, open-book test for the MHSAA Official's Manual, but nothing as far as the rules or official's manual for the season. It's really strange as I've officiated in both California and Oregon and was tested in both of those states. At the recent rules meeting, they indicated that they were going to begin TESTING the test among officials next season. What's that? Kinda weird for me.

Ha ha... mostly the uniform rules are what got me - you know, the stuff they had 1000 slides on.

Also, I tried to call you on my way. So if you saw a weird number on your caller ID...it was me.

And it is for this the same stuff we no longer have to call a "T". For now.

Whew. I tried to tell my wife it really wasn't an escort service calling back.

I was already at the Home of the Bunnies. You missed the fun - I had to T the visiting coach for being a pain, and Ken T'ed a visiting player because she "politely" asked him to call a frickin' foul. So, he did. And, of course, the visitors lost by 25.

I get to go to this team's school next Monday night. I wonder if they will have the red carpet cleaned by then?

Figured you might already be there. Sounds like I missed a lot of fun. No worries, next Friday will be here before you know it!

We took the exam online this year, via the ESO site. They had a lot of problems in the early part of the week, but I waited until Friday and had no problems.

Scored 99. Missed 100 because I simply checked the wrong answer.

The length of a charged time-out may be reduced if both teams are ready to play before the time-out is over.

Obviously the answer is true. I even argued with some other officials that the answer was true. They said, you're right, it is true. Then I looked back and saw I had clicked false. I have no earthly idea why I put false. DAMN!!!!!!!
