I am surprised it didn't happen sooner.... But next season I will become the instructional chairperson for our chapter.. While instructing isn't a problem, having taught at the college level for the last 18 years, I have learned to try and not re-invent any wheels.
So... My questions are....
1. Are any of you instructors for your associations?
2. Do any of you have any lesson plans/guides that you work from?
and
3. Could I get a copy?
Thanks!

I have "lesson plans" for BC violations and traveling. The plans include handouts that cover team control, player control, ball location, and player location. On a separate handout, I include all the rules that pertain to traveling and BC violations. I have a clinic outline with bullet points that i want to make sure that I cover. It also includes the Traveling and BC Violation Quizzes that I put together.

I used it this season with our rookie class and it went very well. I reviewed the material, let them take the quizzes, and then we moved to the gym and role played each question on each quiz.

Email me and I'll send it if you would like.

In Colorado, the state interpretter had an outline that he gave all the instructors in the state to do their teaching from. You can check with yours. If not, you might check with the http://www.chsaa.org site and see if you can get Dave Smith to give you his.
