Seventh grade game...

Opening toss, A1 and B1 tip ball and then A1 controls the tip. I called a violation because the jumper cannot control the tip and gave the ball and arrow to B. My question is, "Did I get the arrow right?" I'm pretty sure I did because A did gain control, albeit illegally.

This is the first time I have ever seen this happen. Are there any other sitches where similar things could happen?
