I recently received one in the mail from Honigs and used it in a game on Friday night. Boy is it loud
 It took some getting used to but overall it went well. Neither of the coaches commented on the sound of it. I personally like it. I would not recommend using it in a facility where the fans are right on top of you unless they are "know it all" parents.

Coach said...."was there a whistle?" I responded yes....however, it wasn't very loud. I struggled as well....I had to use lots of air to make sure my SONIK produced enough sound....thank God I had my regular FOX-40 in my pocket and made the switch ASAP! DON'T BUY SONIK.....unless you are an exceptional "windbag"!

Got mine from Honigs last week. It is great. I used it at a local tournament here this week. I like it alot. The other part that I like about it, is that I don't leave the gym with my ears ringing like I do with the standard Fox 40. The shape of the whistle doesn't have feedback directed toward the official.
