Fox 40 Sonik

Anyone going to try the new 4-chambered whistle when it comes out sometime this year?

no but I will be purchasing the new Sony 7.1 dolby digital surround sound official whistle system. it comes with a 800W amp and 8 speakers and 1 12" subwoofer. I dont accept double whistles in my games -- ONLY MY WHISTLE .

Not unless I hear a lot of others say it is better than the Fox 40 Classic, which is what I prefer.

I will, jsut becasue I have a sort of habit of collecting whistles. I have about 10 right now and not one of them is a fox 40 classic. I had a classic but I broke it by bitting down to hard...I switched to the CMG Anyone know when the Sonik will come out??

Tweet to you IHSAref.....
Do you have one of those orange/black "Gonia Special" whistles that used to be all the rage about 25-years ago? (Midwest area).
A dentist friend of mine told me that other refs were starting to use them for two reasons.....obviously unique "high pitch" sound, and plastic whistle is safer for teeth. (Only drawback was a pack of local dogs where all waiting at the gym exits after the game). Turns out the "Gonia Special" is a dog training whistle.

No knowledge when SONIK comes out this year....FOX website (not to be confused with the psuedo cable News channel ) only has a promo page on it....no listing of price....also ad just appeared on back cover of this month's edition of Referee Magazine.

If you go to http://www.fox40world.com/ , click on "Click here to see our new 2007 online catalog" you'll see a picture of it on the first page.

Bump.

I find it interesting that most of the major retail stores aren't touching the new whistle. Refnrev will tell you that's a good thing for me, because I have 10,000 Fox 40 classics!

I love my Dolphin whistle, but I am going to buy a couple try out, plus the cost of the whistles are a tax deduction.

Hmmm, I only get an occassional complaints about how loud my Fox 40 is. This should make things way more fun. We're talking way beyond deaf here. With a solid double whistle, this puppy should be loud enough to stun everybody in the key.

Gee Tanner, I'm just hoping that you'll be around to try one out, what with the trials and tribulations that you'll have to go through during your recall.

Here's a picture of Tanner in action, doing his usual job.....
