Do I get a pin? Is there some kind of initiation? Coach does not like a foul I called on one of his players (varsity girls game) and goes infantile with screaming and yelling. Whack! technical foul #1. I report it to the table and before my partner can get to him to cool him down he gets personal as I am walking away. Whack! technical foul #2. Coach is instructed to leave the confines. According to the rules (case book 10.5 Situation A) he must leave the building or go to the locker room. He opts for the latter. Ejection is during first period. At halftime his team goes to the locker room where guess who is waiting for them.
Game ends and his team winds up winning by 17 but the other team protests on the basis that participation by the coach following his/her ejection is not allowed. I am advised by Athletic Director to possibly expect a call to tell what I observed at halftime. Anyone been involved in something like this?
