Off topic - but funny
 

The Portland Beavers AAA baseball club has had some funny promotions but it will be hard to beat the one on Aug. 2. It's "Mullet night"! Everyone sporting a mullet (male or female) gets in free that night.

I don't know if that includes players. :eek:

I am not making the following up - I swear on Earl Strom's whistle. My wife said she heard on a morning radio show that the Beavers were have a promotion this weekend in which they would have a van filled with doctors outside the stadium to give anyone who wanted a prostate exam a free one. You would then be let in free to the game. This was so bizarre, I checked their website and there was no mention of it. It's got to be a joke.

I'm still just trying to get past the picture of a beaver with a mullet.

...would that be giving or getting the exam?

GW men's basketball had all of the coaches wear bowties for a prostate cancer awareness night last year. I'm guessing that offering free prostate exams out on the street would have attracted more press.

More than if they had done the exams in the van, fer sure.....:eek:

I can't believe no one threw that out, of course we are all distracted by the beaver talk and that's not uncommon. :p While we are on the subject, A friend of mine said that at the minor league field in Witchita a few years ago (after the Larry Eustacy stuff) had a night where you got in free with any Iowa State shirts and Natty Lights were 1/2 price.
