Gulf South Conference

How much would my travel to sites affect getting picked up in sub Division I conferences. Looking for a camp or camps where either of the Gulf South Conference supers will be? John Caldwell assigns the West Division and Mr. Murphy assigns the East Division. I grew up near one of the conference schools - Delta St. (Ms), but now live in Baton Rouge. I'm not closer than 4 hours to any of the schools. Would travel likely be an issue getting picked up?

That would depend on the travel budget for those conferences...go to the camp and see if you get hired.

Out here, you rarely travel more than 2 hours for a D2 game (6 schools) and rarely more than an hour for a D3 or NAIA game (18 schools) or JC for that matter (about 30 schools within 1 1/2 hours)..... mainly based on travel budget restrictions.

Damn man I had to travel over 2 hours to one my JC games this year. Guess Where. I'm lucky for DIII since all the stuff is no more than an hour a way.

Many officials travel a long ways for Gulf South games. Depends more upon your "tolerance" and willingness to spend money and time. Game fee is $195. No travel $$.
