Thank you to the hundreds dozens several? well-wishers.

It was fun but completely uneventful. The final on Saturday will match the #1 ranked team in the country against a #15-seed in the tournement. Both semi-final games went to the final seconds; and the Winona game went to OT. I was on TV for about 5 seconds when the crew went to the monitor to review a 2-point/3-point try.

The only time I was even close to participating was when one of the game officials tripped and landed on a couple of cheerleaders on the endline. The crew kidded me at halftime, saying that they saw me with my jacket off and ready to run onto the court, but it wasn't even close.

Put me down as another NCAA official "whose run is over".

Congratulations Chuck. You had AT LEAST two well wishers (Mick and I).

So, what network or station broadcast the game?

Have you got a video you can post of the five seconds showing the table? I would like to see professional table crew in action!

But, more seriously, congratulations. It's still an honor to be selected. And it had to be hard to be mentally alert the whole game just in case that cheerleader collision didn't turn out quite so well.

congrats

Congrats Chuck,
uneventful or not, you were there and tons of people were wishing they were. It is great to have some of our own in those positions, gives us all hope.

JR told me it's going to be replayed on the spice channel early next week.

Congratulations Chuck, whoever you are.

(btw I hear this is how Jon Diebler got his start.)

Chuck -- put your list of well-wishers up to 3, since I was also one of them. In fact, I paid that cheerleader to get in the way. I'm going to get half my money back, though, she clearly didn't follow through on her detailed and very specific instructions.

Yup, you're right. Jon Diebler got his start on the Spice channel, working as Ron Jeremy's stunt man.

Chuck played a small part.

well, let me try to explain it. I'll go slowly.....

In a porn movie, you literally would be a small (body) part. In real life though, figuratively, you are a large part. Yea, verily, a veritable giant among parts.

Feel better now?

I'm always there for ya, pal.
