When I saw all the slipping last year, I thought for sure it wouldn't be an issue this year. When the logos were back, I figured they had determined a way to make them more similar to the floor.

Apparently not. They need to go.

The logos have been removed for this weekend's games.

If the had put a small 2' logo at the center circle like they did for years, It probably wouldn't have been an issue.

But the size of those things was absolutely ridiculous.

I actually heard Roy say something that made sense in the PTI interview - with today's technology, surely they could super-impose the logo on the floor, or even on his face if they needed to, without having to change the floor itself.

But then the fans in the arena would lose the benefit of knowing what event they were attending.

Hmm, you're right; hadn't thought of that.

Especially if they miss the logos already on the scoreboards, jumbotrons, score table, officials' shirts, banners, programs, drink cups, popcorn boxes, and the 30-some other items I'm forgetting to mention...

Don't forget the player's jerseys (just in case they forget too).

Did you see the report from the opening round game in Dayton about the player who had to switch jerseys and wear another number because his normal shirt didn't have the NCAA logo patch affixed to it?

It's true.

I guess I need a new television That darn logo must have burned the image into my set, since it seems to be in the middle of the court every time they go up and down tonight in the Washington State game.

Not true. That's not the same decal that was used last weekend. Those have been disposed of. These are new and much smaller than those from the 1st and 2nd round.

Logos do look different, seem to have more of a shine to them. Are they actually covered in polyurethane like the rest of the floor?

It would appear that these floors were made specifically for the NCAA Tourney. The two floors are identical except for the location and host school logos.

Makes sense. I wonder how much the NCAA or whoever shells out for those floors?
