Well they did double-team and trap him making him pick up his dribble at the FT line. If he is then allowed to take three steps to get out of that, I don't see that as the fault of the defense.

I see that USC is still wearing their illegal, black memorial patch with the number 12 on it in the PAC-10 tournament game against Stanford.

JRutledge Thu Mar 08, 2007 11:11pm

Do you want them to forfeit the game?

Peace

I would prefer that they enforce the proper penalty.

JRutledge Thu Mar 08, 2007 11:24pm

So you want a technical foul called for this? Also do you know what the officials were instructed to do?

Peace

I haven't seen them. What's illegal about them?

If it isn't going to be enforced, then the NCAA shouldn't have this rule. The same is true for all of the rules in my opinion.

Deacs are lookin' good right now, NewNCRef!

That is fine, but maybe the officials were asked not to enforce this the way you want enforced. Why don't you call Hank Nichols and complain to him. ;)

Peace

Yeah, perhaps the officials were asked not to call traveling, or palming, or double dribble. We should call Hank Nichols and ask for clarification.

Cuse's new uniforms didn't help.

They sure are. If they could only hit a free throw. How is your FT percentage worse than your 3-point percentage???? I like the officiating crew in this game too. They seem to be doing a great job!

The last time that I looked at the NCAA rulesbook memorial patches could not have a number on them. Perhaps that requirement has changed. If it has then there is nothing wrong with what USC is wearing as it is located in the proper area.
