center/trail coverage
In college the Center and Trail coverage areas are divided down the middle of the court, instead of the center's coverage being closest lane line extended. For you college guys, does this really make it easier or does it add confusion? If it is so great why hasn't that mechanic change at the high school level?

I am only talking about Men's College.
What level of college are you talking about? There are some differences between Men's and Women's basketball. Most of the time we do the exact same 60-40 divide in coverage we do at the HS level. This is mainly done because it better helps coverage and lessens confusion. It is really not as big of a deal as you are making it. Just talk about it in pre-game.
Peace
