Not trying,but maybe succeeding, in being a jerk.
If the lead could see it was a valid 3pt from the baseline to the top of the arc, it would seem to me that the player was plenty clear of the line. But if what your saying is that it came down to the shooter's left toe, I don't see how the lead could or should make that call. I subscribe to the philosophy,"See global,call local". Either you had doubts about it or just plain got suprised by the shot. I have parnters who call the whole floor. Part of my pre-game is the local/global thing. If I'm stinkin that nite then at the first time out or quarter I will tell him/her if it isnt obvious that I'm not with it yet. But on the other hand I will also tell him/her that they might be reachin a little in their calls. Whew. |
