My schedule is still a little spotty in November and December. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a few more games.

I'm going to our association meeting/rules interp next week. It's one of the last dates set aside for the rules meetings in IL, so I better not get sick, or I'm in trouble...

It will be interesting to see who the interpreter will be for this meeting, and their take on the signals.

Btw, for the regular meeting portion, our guest speaker will be Mary Struckhoff. It will be interesting to see how she's received. I know there are a few that don't like what she did when she was part of the IHSA, but I always though she was getting things going in the right direction. There were a lot of older officials that liked the "status quo", and she was the one that started the clinic requirement, for example.

Any questions you would like me to ask?

Yes, player control/block double foul case book play. Get rid of it! Follow the steps of the NCAA-W. :D

Whoops! From the title, I thought this was a thread about a party.

How's about a nice Hawaiian punch? ;)

In Connecticut we go with the:

Raised Fist
Hand behind the head
Punch forward
(Not done yet)
Signal The infraction
Point to the spot

Repeat much of the bove at the table.

Will I do it? I'll try.

Going to look like a conductor at the symphony...but I will try.

M&M,
It will be interesting to see if the people who attend your meeting understand the "One Warning" for delay. I know the people at my table were all saying that you had one warning for each infraction. At our meeting, we had to move into another room because the projector was locked up and no one had a key so we got started about 20 minutes late. The interpreter did a good job but he had a room full of obnoxiouly red-dressed Cardinal fans... and we were only about 11 miles from St. Louis .... so he knew he had to go quickly to keep people's attention. I checked afterwards to make sure I had it right, but I know a lot of guys left misunderstanding the information on that one.

Jon, you're going to do the hand behind the head and the punch for the same infraction? You should double-check that, b/c I don't think it's true. I just spent 8 hours in a car with a couple of CT interpreter, and he didn't mention anything about that.

Did he say anything about agreement of a preposition with its antecedent?

Sigh. I saw the mistake and thought about editing it, but was just too lazy. I was in the car with a couple of guys from CT and one of them was an interpreter.

I'm going to bed now. :)
