Anyway, I have been told that palming is causing the ball to come to rest and that this happens more frequently with athletic moves today which are designed to freeze the defender. So maybe a POE is used to help ensure that we are not interpreting palming as simply 'carrying' by taking the hand under the ball, but rather by determining if the ball comes to rest.
