I wish I would have seen it.
I wish I would have seen it. I know one of the guys that did that game personally, and I just would like to have seen it....if I see him I will ask him about it...hopefully I won't see him for a couple weeks (he might be busy this weekend )

If you want to see the play go to
http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/...y=Top%20Videos Click on Main Menu and go to "Women's Tournament" Scroll down and click on "Seimone Augustus and LSU Charge into the Final Four" I think you have to download ESPN Motion but it is free. The play in question is at 0:34/1:38 and 5.8 seconds left in the game. Last edited by All_Heart; Thu Mar 30, 2006 at 02:30pm. |

Just watched the 1:38 clip. At the 12 minute mark in the second half there was a similar call that went against Augustus, blocking foul. The lead was the calling official and was the L at the end of the game.
The C did not raise their arm as was suggested in the other thread, the L was on the play and had not turned to view the 3 pt attempt although he was moving to wide angle. T had the call all the way, and it was a good call. Last edited by icallfouls; Thu Mar 30, 2006 at 03:24pm. |

Man. after watching it again I just don't see how anyone calls this a block...Stanford kid absolutely steamrolled that defender. And the T was in perfect position to see it and call it since it came from her primary...

Good call and a good one for the T to make. If you go with a block on that one, you are telling the offensive players to just barrel their way through the key and you will bail them out with a defensive foul.
