I was watching a varsity girls high school game the other night, and here's what happened:
Player A has posession of the ball under her own basket, and falls on top of the ball, Player B falls on top of player A. Player B stays on top of player A to keep player A from handling the ball. The ref calls a held ball/jump ball. Is this correct? |

quote: Not necessarily correct, but very common. A Ref would have to see it, and may then call a foul on B, if as you indicated the ball was on the floor, A was on the ball and B was on A and didn't have a hold of the ball. mick |

JClay,
If the player had the ball and fell on it, it should be traveling! Now if she had got the ball on the floor and then B player lands on top of A it's a foul on B. Good luck and keep asking all the Questions you can. ------------------ Don |
