Missouri Valley has a four-tiered pay scale which reflects its desire to retain quality officials who might otherwise use the experience solely as a stepping stone to work the power conferences.

Their fees are higher because they do not pay per diem or travel.

E-Tier $1800 (Saturday), $1600 (non-Saturday)
Level I $1200
Level II $1000
Level III $850

The E-tier is reserved for highly regarded officials who are occasionally brought in to work big games. Regular MVC officials start at Level III and move up by meeting certain criteria. These include years of service to the MVC, accepting a minimum number of number of assignments in the upcoming season, working the MVC tournament the previous year, selection to NCAA Div I tournament the previous year, etc.
