I also think its a great idea. We as refs sometimes have an unapprochable side to us before and after the games. So I think to go to a practice and speak is good. Make sure you keep it light and fun. Don"t get into too much detail on the rules and violations, just the basics and ask if anybody has questions and ask them to show you the things in basketball which they think are fouls and agree or disagree. When parents start asking questions thats when you start breaking out the rule book too be a little more technical. I hope that helps a little Smokeater.
