Now that this thread has degenerated into discussion about Romeo and McBeth (or something like that), I do have another question on situation #2. How was the ball knocked out of bounds? I ask because it matters. You said "tip," so I assume with the hands. However, if it was kicked, then the throwing team retains the right to run the endline.
