This is somewhat related and kind of funny. Friday night I didn't have a Varsity game so after my one freshman game I went to watch a friend work with his new 3 man crew. I went into the locker room to hang out and chat, meeting his partners for the second time. My friend called on his way home and evidently his one partner (who recieves over 20 tournament reccomendations yearly) coached an AAU type team and I T'd him up early in the first quarter of a game a few years ago (probably a weekend tournament). I thought it was kind of funny. As far as a quick T, I had to assess one 40 seconds in once (weekend tournament as well).

IMO...that's when I have a good ol' heart to heart about behavior expectations in regards to addressing the officials. (Call it a warning if you like)

Are you saying your partner told the Coach to Shut Up?
IMO...NEVER tell the Coach to "Shut Up". (or anybody for that matter)

Again, it's just my opinion...but, if I expect to be talked to in a professional manner...I will extend the same courtesy to the Coach...MOST of the time.

Having said that...if this is REC League...all bets are off.
