IMO, things like this happen because you didn't properly pregame for it. ;)
Chris, How would you have pre-gamed this & how would you handle the situation?
Brian, it's all about planning in advance. There are alot of baskeball games where things will happen in that game and it might be the only time this year it happens. We have to be prepared for all situations.........including a bird being thrown on the floor. Personally, I keep a PETA approved bird-trap in my gym bag for these situations. Also, because I'm prepared, I keep a spare one in the car in case the first one malfunctions. Which reminds me, I need to thorw a spare lanyard in my bag as backup as well.....sigh.....
Chris, Glad to know that we are on the same page. This would be the same approach that I would use.

I can't seem to find anything in the Case book. Seems to me to be an illegal substitution; probably removed his shirt, too. I also can't find anything in the rules about requiring proper footwear - you forgot to mention whether he was wearing shoes or not.
