Hi,

I just had to share this with you. I came across this when I was browsing some questions asked to the FIBA rules interpreter on FIBA's website. Is this covered in any casebook?!

I assume you are asking if dunking is legal in FIBA. It is legal.

One time at an Adult Rec Tournament there was supposedly a drunk player at one of the games. (I had no idea aside from hearing the refs talk about it after the game).

Once one of the refs realized the guy was drunk (the ref was also the city's assistant police chief, so maybe that's how he knew), he gave the guy a technical foul. Don't ask what rule justified it, because I have no idea.[1] :P

So while the technical free throws were being shot, the guy starts to argue with the calling official. So once the second shot was administered, the guy got a second T, and ejection. By this time, an on-duty police officer was making his regular rounds at the gym and handled the situation from there.

[1] Although it is possible being drunk could fall under unsporting conduct, perhaps.
