One thing is for sure, fans and coaches are pretty much the same everywhere. Had a girls jv/varsity double Friday. Actually, the coaches were great but the crowd was nasty, which is usually the case at any of the small town schools around here. They always feel compelled to offer you advice and let you know about the 100 or so fouls you have missed over the course of the game. Anyway, I heard a great one during the Varsity contest. My partner had a 10 count in the backcourt on the home team. Did a bump and run so I was inbounding right in front of the home fans. Some guy in the stands was screaming at us that "if the defender knocks it away from her the count starts over." Classic. Probably went home that night and told everyone he knew what a couple of idiots the officials were, they didn't even know the rules for a 10 second count, and that the poor officiating was the cause for the home teams 28 point loss.
