Don't go looking for trouble

Imagomer, you should know better.
Good officials don't go looking for trouble.
Let this game get over as smoothly as possible.
OK to dislike how things went, but not the officials place
to dictate how a team is to play.

What's up, B ?!?
I understand the general consensus of not injecting officiating into most of y'all consider to be a coaching decision (minus any obvious taunting)

Good to hear from you,B. My champ team from last year lost 0.4 ppg to graduation - looking forward to compete to repeat. Statistically, our chances look good. The Marine Corps is a memory - got on at Boeing. No welfare during the transition.

Thanks all.

What if he was just trying to make sure his team didn't cover the spread? How much did Vegas give you guys to lose by?

If I don't let the coach tell me how to ref the game, I can't tell him how to coach. That's up to his supervisors to determine. No T here.

Count my vote as a no call

I am with Chuck. There is nothing anywhere in the book that tells a player where to play defense, That's why we allow cherry picking...

I'd say the team was trying to be good sports because they did not want to play defense and let the guys score.

This kid was a weak player, I have coached teams and told my players let a kid score so he could feel good about being out there.

I get pissed when a disadvantaged kid goes in the ball game and a team has to press and harass him to steal the ball.

The fact that the kid could not make an uncontested layup is his own problem.

it was 50-17 at half do you think you really want them to play defense and have them beat a team 130-34 ?

Nope! get the game done!

I agree with Chuck also on this one. No Call, the coach was within his rights according to the rules of the game. I think as I understand the situation it would be up to the opposition coaching to take it up with the league or school. If he felt the coach was trying to humiliate or somehow mess with the minds of the players then he can report it. Otherwise play on.

I agree with all of the other "no call" votes.

Don't be a plumber out there.
