A-1's pass to A-2 in the frontcourt is deflected by A-2 and hits the official who is standing on the division line.A-2 catches the ball in the frontcourt. Official rules this a backcourt violation. Is the official correct?
Confusing to me. Front court status and team control was established.When the ball touched the official who was standing on the division line (which is part of the backcourt) the ball was considered in the backcourt but the ball wasn't touched by team A in the backcourt. Thanks for your replies. I searched!
(Does anybody else have the IAABO Refresher Exam - 2005 ?)
