I can relate! Working on getting back into shape though. I've got about a week (next Friday) until my first game.

I have been officiating hoops for a few moons now and feel like I stil have a lot to learn. I am currently working high school, and some Junior College Hoops in the wisconsin area. I am on the staff of the D-3 conference in the area and am waiting to be scheduled. Now that I am a member, I hope my input can help someone out as the input on here has certainly helped me out.

P.S. I read a thread about the Dolphin Whistle...Where can I get one to try out. Thanks again and keep calling them like we see them.

Purchase Officials has them: http://www.purchaseofficials.com/

Is this something alot of people will be using this year?

Chris,

There isn't much spark in my area about using them. It's going to take a lot to pull me away from the Fox40

My big acquisition this year is a healthy kid. I'm planning for him to have no over-night hospital stays, and that makes the season look much, much better than last year!!

What was your secret to losing the weight? Was it excerise, Southbeach, or the pushaway diet?

One thing I'm thinking about picking up is the rules and casebook on cd for the computer. Is it worth the money? Can I load it onto my palm pilot? Someone posted the website to order it, but I haven't done so yet. I'm especially interested in the baseball one as I'm newer to baseball and need some work (a couple of coaches might say alot of work) on the rules.

Is this out of necessity or to be preventative?

It'd be better for your knee just to lose the 8-game days. I don't even try 'em anymore.

In fact those silly over the counter knee braces aint gonna do sh!t, a complete waste of money. They provide zero support.
