I think advantage/disadvantage is not the only deciding factor. I think if player A keeps getting slapped silly, eventually, he's is going to get the feeling the refs are not protecting him. In that case, he'll start protecting himself. Then the trouble starts.
If A grabs a rebound, and B tries to smack away the ball and hits him on the arm, I'm calling a foul, whether the ball is dislodged or not. I think it cuts down on the free-for-all after a rebound. |
