With the Fed change next year re: double fouls resulting in resuming play at POI, it's the first time since I've been officiating (that I can think of) that one of the 20 Rules Fundamentals will change. I was wondering if anyone can remember any other change in any of the Fundamentals ... what changed and what was the reason for the change? Has there always been 20 "fundamentals"?
Can you see anything in the Fundamentals that may be (or should be) changed in the future, or has already been discussed as a possible change? |

Well, poop. I messed it up. It was actually only 13 (not 8).

No, from what I heard Chuck helped write the rules.

JR was the Referee and Crew Chief. The game fee was $0.02. That's how the saying "my 2 cents worth" came about.
JR said to Naismith that he thought he should be paid for travel and a per diem. James tossed JR a penny and said, "A penny for your thoughts." Total income from game #1: $0.03.

Juulie, you are correct.
The original game was 3-person. Historically, this is ironic because we all think that 2-person came first, then 3-person afterwards.
