Mechanics exam? Is that something different than the rules exams?

Mechanics exam
Tool 4 educators/ retesting lapsed members/ new candidates...all that stuff. Sites mention the mechanics but do not post sample exams...just that my board takes too long to respond to these queries.

I thought there was a mechanics exam on the NF website? Am I wrong about that? I do not have a membership to take the NF courses so I am really not sure.

When IAABO makes you guys take the floor exam (or whatever it is called) what kind of game does this take place.

Mechanics Test
Typically, in my Board, the IAABO Mechanics Exam is a 50 item written (T or F) based on the 03-05 Mechanics Manual for the 2 and 3 man game. This is followed up by a floor test with a Senior Evaluator at a calibre appropriate to the level being sought. We therefore designate the testing (game and court mechanics) according to a Panel designation. Currently we have Associate, Junior, Intermediate and Panel 5,4,3,2,1 (1 being university/college). More is expected of each panel for passing grade (commonly accepted at 86%).

Rut, I'm not picking on you nearly as much as I'm picking on people who refuse to give any credence to the idea (actually held by more than just Julie and me) that sharp use of language is something that we should all work at. |
