Who's Duncan?

Gee, I hate to go off topic...but....

Here's a football one. In a story going around today, Bill Callahan, the Nebraska coach, is upset because someone accused him of giving the ol' throat-slash gesture on the sideline to a referee last Saturday. Bill sez that he'd never do anything like that.

Check out the film..... click on "Throat Slash By Nebraska Coach"...

You can't hide your lyin' eyes.

Or throat slashes either.

Maybe he was telling the sound guy to stop playing that damn song, "Na Na, Hey Hey, Kiss Him Goodbye". I know I don't like it as much since the White Sox won, either.

well, I hate to be the one to have to break it to ya......

Naw, on second thought, I'm probably gonna enjoy the hell out of being the one to break this to you......

Bud Selig owns the Milwaukee Brewers. No,no,no.....don't give me that sh!t about his daughter owning 'em or they're for sale or whatever.....sure as Used-Car Bud has a deal for you..... he's still got a finger in the pie somewhere.

Now, what division do the Cubbies play in? Well, golly gee, Mr Greenjeans, they're in the NL Central. And who else is in the NL Central? Well, surprise/surprise, Gomer Pyle, the Brewers just happen to be in the same division? And what NL Central team finished 2 games ahead of your beloved Cubsters in the past season? Well, I do believe that it was the cheesehead's own beloved Brewers.

Connect the dots.......

Resume crying.......

Colon wins the AL Cy Young Award. He was the AL's only 20 game winner and had 3 more wins than the second-leading winner. ESPN ran a graphic showing that every single time an AL starter has led the league in wins by more 3 or more wins, he has won the Cy. I thought that was kind of interesting.

He's the first Angel to win it since '64, when Dean Chance won it.

It was also kind of funny that Colon thanked Mariano Rivera for teaching how to throw the cut fastball, and Gammons said this morning that he felt Rivera should've won the award.

And just in case you didn't already hear about this one. . .

CARACAS, Venezuela - Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Ugueth Urbina was arrested and held Tuesday pending a formal charge of attempted murder.

Last month, Urbina and a group of men allegedly attacked five workers with machetes and poured gasoline on them in an attempt to set them on fire. All five were injured, some of them with cuts and one with burns on the back and right arm, police said.

This was the second violent incident in a little more than a year for the Urbina family. Urbina's mother was kidnapped by drug traffickers in September 2004 and held for a $6 million ransom.

She was rescued five months later in a mountainous zone in southern Venezuela. The authorities described her captors as Venezuelan and Colombian drug traffickers.
