This is not true for men's games, I don't think. I've never heard that it's allowable. The women "walk-and-talk", NBA style; but not the guys.

There are, of course, officials who are well-enough established that they don't have to worry about any of their mechanics; and so they may report on the move. But, by the book, I don't think this is an option for most of us lowly D3 guys.
