Hi, does anyone have any examples of disciplinary action taken against players who have threatened an official?
e.g., threatned physical harm after the game (Car park, locker room, wherever...) Our association is having to deal with such an instance and would like to hear about some precedent if possible, as this is a new one for us. Looking for examples of ACTUAL punishment though, not what ought to happen! Thanks

I was supervising IMs one night this year when two minutes into the game a kid in the frat leagues got tossed by one of my better officials. Two F-bombs in a row...good night and sweet dreams. Frat boy then procedes to tell my official that he'd kick his a$$ and that he better hope he never sees him on the street in between classes. After this, I told the frat boy that he would have to leave the gym and that a suspension for the ejection and verbal abuse would be upcoming. He then decided to start threatening me and refused to leave the gym, while continuing to threaten both the official and me. As I went to get the security guard to call university police to escort him out, the kid followed me to the security station, still threatening to beat my a$$ and yes, kill me. Security guard heard the threats, police arrested him for making terroristic threats and the kid has been suspended for the rest of the year. How's that for precedence?
