Fan melee erupts at girls high school basketball game, Tasers fired

PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - One fan at a girls high school
basketball game in Alabama says "there were chairs being thrown
and people running all over the place."
Stan Davis says he grabbed his eight-year-old daughter and just
tried to stay out of the way of what another parent called the
"cockroaches."
The fight broke out in the stands during a game Tuesday night
between rival schools Prattville and Stanhope Elmore, and spilled
onto the floor.
Police fired Tasers to stop the melee and clear the gym.
Six juveniles and three adults face charges including assault,
disorderly conduct and refusing to obey an officer.
The fight was captured on video and shown on television.

You need to read the link or post from Mike Sears.

This has nothing to do with the NBA. This was a fight between people not affiliated with the team that started first at a local fast food joint.

Long before the fight that happens between the NBA teams that made headlines, there were a couple of really big fights in the Chicago schools. Games were suspended and they fights had little to do with the players on the court. The fights were neighborhood conflicts with non-students that were attending the games. There was a fight at a downstate school after a regional championship team last year. A number one ranked team lost and a fight broke out with fans and players.

The NBA has nothing to do with these incidents. This is just the society we live in.

Peace

I agree with Rut.
We recently had a fight after a game here in Des Moines, and it wasn't even related to the NBA scenario. Rival neighborhoods with some heated issues. It's a sad situation, but the NBA fight at least started out as a basketball issue.

It is too easy for everyone to blame the NBA for stuff like this. That way they don't have to take responsibility for their own actions.

Three refs (2 from our assoc) doing a game. Fight breaks out in stands. Gun shot rings out. Everyone takes off for the exits. Two of the refs out in the parking lot, can't find third ref. Turns out he is hiding under the scorer's table. Had to tell him later that those generally are not bulletproof.

Except that Mike's post wasn't made for 25 minutes after Fred's post.

I realize that. Mike's post had more information and stated what the origins of the fight were.
