Fan melee erupts at girls high school basketball game, Tasers fired
PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) - One fan at a girls high school
basketball game in Alabama says "there were chairs being thrown
and people running all over the place."
Stan Davis says he grabbed his eight-year-old daughter and just
tried to stay out of the way of what another parent called the
"cockroaches."
The fight broke out in the stands during a game Tuesday night
between rival schools Prattville and Stanhope Elmore, and spilled
onto the floor.
Police fired Tasers to stop the melee and clear the gym.
Six juveniles and three adults face charges including assault,
disorderly conduct and refusing to obey an officer.
The fight was captured on video and shown on television.
