Sounds long a fill-in who knew the rule but is in the habit of counting from doing NF games. The local association in Greensboro is the largest in the state and has several college officials working in it.

When girls AAU kicks off, I catch myself counting the first several times that the ball is inbounding. It's just a conditioned response.

On occasion I do, but I drop it pretty quickly. No harm, since I haven't been so stupid as to blow a 10 second violation.
