By the book, if he has a player that can play, he's suppose to play them. However, he was obviously sitting them for a good reason. So I would of asked the coach if he wanted to sub and if he said no (because of the Int Foul) then I would of allowed him to play with 4 and then 3.
Sub no, unless a timeout is called or have some form of a whistle. Dead ball, which means all subs can come in. [Edited by tjones1 on Jan 11th, 2005 at 10:42 PM]
