Last winter, in Portland, we had a solid week of school and games, cancelled. This wasn't just namby-pamby Portland-ers overreacting to a little snow. About half the people in the city literally couldn't get out of their houses, or get their cars out of the driveways. Over four hundred games were cancelled, only about 50 (crucial varsity games) were made up. I lost nearly $300 in game fees. [/B]
Yep - worst snow/ice storm we've had since the winter of 68-69. We don't get hard real often, but when we do it's interesting. Ultimately I think we did get most of the JV & Varsity games made up though - I know I wound up working 11 doubles in the 4 weeks following the storm.
