Were you not using "persons" before? Why the quotation marks?

5. Are you required to work more than just the Varsity game? (like both Varsity & JV...allowing school districts to save money.)
No. Sometimes GV/BV doubleheaders are done, but the trend here now is to single games because most of the officials are 45+. I'm not and would prefer to work both even if it means doing a jv game (2-man) first.

My request is for forum members to respond to the following questions regarding 3-Whistle at HS:

1. What state are you working 3-Whistle?

2. How much are you paid?

3. How long has your state been 3-Whistle?

4. What levels are being officiated 3-Whistle? (ie: Varsity, JV, Frosh, boys and/or girls?)

5. Are you required to work more than just the Varsity game? (like both Varsity & JV...allowing school districts to save money.)

Many thanks!

What I heard is that it's approved at the sectional and state level, but like you I've heard no specifics. I'm ready for 3.

Along with my schedule in WI, I am also licensed and work about 12 games a season in IL along with some college dates. These are all 3-whistle games.

In IL we get about $53 a game 3-whistle, but no travel. In other words, more than some WI conferences and less than others. My WI 2-whistle check tonight, for example, was $80, but I was working in a conference that pays travel. So I had to buy the first round afterwards.
