I finally did a V Boys game last night after a few years of officiating. I'm not young but I've been on and off reffing over the last 10 years since I move around with my job.
Anyway, at the pre-game conference the R goes through all of the required things and finished with "Good luck, let's have fun, and we'll be ready to play as soon as my partner zips his pants up". Welcome, rookie. All in all we all thought we did okay as a team in a blow out game. Lesson learned: Check the zipper before you get on the court.

Welcome to the forum! There are a lot of things you can pick up on here! Congrats on your first V boys game! And yes, that is probably the #1 we forget to do. That or get a whistle! Anyways, I'm getting ready to go do a big JV/V game that's at 1 CT. Good luck johnny and again, welcome!
