I finally did a V Boys game last night after a few years of officiating. I'm not young but I've been on and off reffing over the last 10 years since I move around with my job.
Anyway, at the pre-game conference the R goes through all of the required things and finished with "Good luck, let's have fun, and we'll be ready to play as soon as my partner zips his pants up". Welcome, rookie. All in all we all thought we did okay as a team in a blow out game.
Lesson learned: Check the zipper before you get on the court.
