FT Lane Spaces...

In college women's basketball, i noticed that the first lane space from the end line to the block is unoccupied. has that been a rule for sometime now? and will the men's game adopt that rule of no one in the lane space from the block to the end line space?

Yes, for a couple of years.

They haven't yet. They don't necessarily follow what the women do.
