I understand a ball entering the basket below the rim that then rises above the rim and enters the basket is not a goal- but a violation.
9-4.... cause it (ball) to enter and pass through the basket from below....
So does any ball that passes completely through the basket regardless if the ball enters the basket or bounses to the floor is a violation? It sure sounds that way,
