Ok, I think understand what you guys are saying. So if a player commits an offensive foul while he has "control" of the ball then it is a player control foul and no shots are taken. On the otherhand, if the player does not have the ball, whether he has just shot the ball, passed the ball, or committed any foul away from the ball, then shots may be taken if in the 1 and 1. Is this rule the same at all levels?
