rainmaker,
That is an amusing little story and I'm sure that as a parent you enjoyed the whole scene. I wonder if you look at it a bit differently now that you are part of the officiating community.
Specifically, it is this part that I noticed:

In light of the rule JR quoted above, do you believe that this action was legal?

Did I miss something? When did the resuming play procedure become a tough call?

Unpoplular? Maybe, but not tough.

Sending the hometeam's star to the bench on a bang-bang play early in the third quarter with the league rival sounds more like it to me, or the example that started the whole thread.

In her sitch, she said Team A was in their huddle. How do you know whether that huddle was held on or off the floor?

I don't. Maybe Juulie will tell us, if she remembers that fine of a detail. The only clue that I have from context is:
Based upon her stating that she was not yet officiating, this incident must have occurred about 7 years ago. That is right about the time that NFHS introduced the 20 second time-out. Perhaps you can specify the exact year that rule came in and if a team had to remain standing during the TO that first year. I can't recall.

Sheez, Nevada, lighten up! It was an interesting sitch in a game 10 years ago, which didn't change the outcome of the game. Oh, well.

Unless I've been inhaling helium that is about as light as I get.

Oh, was I being pedantic again?

Okay, well, since we're now officially off-topic, try this one. Might be too easy. Here's from a movie I was watching this afternoon.

"I've got a job, a secretary, a mother, two ex-wives and several bartenders dependent on me and I don't intend to disappoint them."

Hint: It's more than 10 years old.

Cary Grant--North by Northwest?

BTW, the first one was the Warden, not Tim Robbin's character in Shawshank.

Wow, I'm impressed.

Okay, how about this one?

"In America, they haven't spoken it in years!" Also more than 10 years old.
