Again, this is not sarcasm. I'm trying to find my way between knowing what the rule is and running a good game.

My opinion:

I won't look for it, but if I find it, either I'll deal with it or I'll have game management deal with it (depending on what, where, when I find it).

Chuck, you were absolutely right...it's in the NCAA rule book, it's in the NCAA bulletins and memos and conference calls - the band ain't supposed to play during live ball...you brought it up and tried to deal with it, the Crew Chief poo-poo'ed it...it's on his head if there's any fall-out...keep handling things the way you know they're supposed to be handled...my take on these type things: if we do it by the book, and there are complaints from coaches/AD's, etc., the supervisor/commissioner can't really yell and scream at us - just tell us to handle it differently next time...if we make up our own way of handling it, then we can be in big trouble for not "doing it by the book"...

I'd say that's good advice for high school level games too.

Brian, I did have surgery in May, but was ready to go in November.....Been workin all season.......but have to sit out state this year.......you know go two and sit.......
Have been working playoffs, in fact I have the Sealth / Cleveland game today at 3...........Number 3 and 4 in the state.....should be a great game.
