Chuck, you were absolutely right...it's in the NCAA rule book, it's in the NCAA bulletins and memos and conference calls - the band ain't supposed to play during live ball...you brought it up and tried to deal with it, the Crew Chief poo-poo'ed it...it's on his head if there's any fall-out...keep handling things the way you know they're supposed to be handled...my take on these type things: if we do it by the book, and there are complaints from coaches/AD's, etc., the supervisor/commissioner can't really yell and scream at us - just tell us to handle it differently next time...if we make up our own way of handling it, then we can be in big trouble for not "doing it by the book"...
