It's just possible that he didn't handle it incorrectly, or dishonestly. He may really have never heard a whistle. At least one other person on this board saw the game and thought there was no whistle. Just because his supervisor is disciplining him, doesn't mean he was wrong. You're assuming way, way too much.

He's being disciplined because he blew the whistle, not because he didn't hear it.

No, he is being disciplined for what transpired after he blew the whistle. The fact that he didn't take responsibility immediately, not for blowing the whistle. It could have all been corrected at the time if he had admitted then that he indeed had sounded his whistle.

Yes thank you for clarifying. As I have said all along, the problem with this officials actions is not that he messed up and blew the whistle. It's that he lied about it.

Well..during the game they said they didn't blow a whistle, after the game they said they didn't blow a whistle. After the MWC reviewed the tapes and talked to the officials, they said that there was an inadvertant whistle and the official has been dealt with. Sound to me like someone is being less than honest. Either the officials or the MWC.
