People told me to fear AAU and to beware of coaches and fans but you know what ... I learned alot of things in my 4 games today. One I said screw the lanyard and worked all 4 games without forcing myself to slow down. Only dropped the whistle 3 times ones during a timeout. Also said ima take today to work on my mannerisms and such with coaches... i figure what better place where they have some of the most clueless coaches. So yeah... I worked on keeping it short to the point- yes sirs no sirs - i'll watch for it, thank you sir and all that good stuff... and besides making an easy 60 bucks i think i got alot accomplished.

Thats why I enjoy Rec, summer, and AAU stuff... it gives u a chance to work on suttle things like that.

While you're working on that "suttle" stuff, you could use your rec and AAU posts to work on the subtleties of spelling!

Pay was 15 a game for this tourny. 20 minute running clock halves except last 1 minute of 1st half last 2 min of 2nd half... It was really easy work. It wasnt a big tounry or anything. Besides... at this point in my carrer I'll work anything $15 and up just to get some court time, see some new plays, work on becomming a better offball official, working on anything else, and lastly, get my name out.

So long as the play is atleast middle-school/high-school level.

60 DOLLARS! HUH

hello ace,

so you did 4 games and made $60 dollars, thats really low pay for a regulation clock, i wanna know who are assigning these games, here in virginia beach virginia i usually work aau ball for about $32 dollars a game it wasnt always like this, our association pulled together, and said hey we are just not gonna do these games, if we dont get the proper pay, somebody made a lot of money off you guys this weekend ace, dont let these guys screw you out of whats rightfully yours.

It wasn't a regualtion clock. He said, "20 minute running clock halves except last 1 minute of 1st half last 2 min of 2nd half..."

John, I know it's no big deal to most people, and I mostly don't comment on it. That one misspelling just kind of struck me funny.

I know yall are just pokin fun .... I think its an honor to be poked at by the upper officials (read "old-timers/old-folks") of the board... Then again.. I've been around for a while too... Forget it. LOL. I probably need someone to stay on me about my bad habits.

Toss 'em straight.
